Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit Yorkdale (for the first time I might add) with two of my best-friends, Tammy and Amy. Unfortunately there were many road closures along the way, haulting (see what I did there?) and hindering my journey there. However, we persevered through it. Nothing was going to stop our shopping spree.
I spent nearly the whole day there and picked up some fab finds. Along with a few other products that I have used this month, I will review my purchases.
Alright, let’s begin!
This first product I am reviewing is the ”Darling Massage Cream” by Etude House.
This is one of the many snail creams that is out there and imo one of the best. If you have acne scars like me, I highly recommend it. I like to cleanse my skin and apply it before I sleep. I wake up with a nice glow. The cream helps repair your skin.
If you would like to purchase it, you can get it off Ebay for much cheaper compared to retail sites. I’ve included a link below:
The next product I am reviewing is the ”Face Conditioning Cream” by Etude House (you can tell that I have a thing for Etude House, can’t you?)
This cream works as a great base for your makeup because it boosts it significantly. It helps whiten/brighten your face. One thing that I particularly like is that I can use it as a light sunscreen since it contains spf 25 AND it’s very lightweight . You apply as you do with any cream before you apply anything else.
I’ve included a link to purchase it from Ebay:
Pronounced Key-ya-ro-sco-ro. Chiaroscuro is the highlight/contour stick from Michelle Phan’s EM Cosmetics line. It’s innovative and handy. I am absolutely in love with it. It comes in different shades for different skin types. It makes contouring/highlighting easy with only a few strokes.
I also recommend ”The Great Coverup” skin concealer from EM Cosmetics as well. It’s lightweight and blends well.
Here’s a link to Michelle’s steps to using the stick:
and you can buy Chiaroscuro from the EM Cosmetics site:
Next up, the long-awaited ”push-up liner” by Benefit. This liner just hit the shelves this week and I was dying to get it. It was one of the many reasons I had to take a trip to Sephora. I had read the reviews, so I thought I would check it out. The liner is a gel liner stick which works by twisting. It definitely takes a lot of practice, but it’s worth the buy. It’s precise, thick and lash-hugging. It’s also very long-lasting. The cashier at Sephora told me that Benefit made a special makeup remover for this liner (I didn’t purchase it). Instead, I used an oil-based makeup remover and it came off fairly easy.
It’s not very cheap right now, but if you’re a makeup addict like me, you can grab it from Sephora:
I was BROWsing Sephora.ca when I came across this cute little brow kit called ”Go Brow” by Anastasia. For a while now I had been looking for a brow pencil that looked natural. This kit is very compact and handy (especially for traveling). It includes the pencil, brow gel and tweezer.
You can find it here:
I also happened to hit up some of my favourite fashion stores. I picked up two harem-esque pants from H&M. I also grabbed a cute accordion skirt (with palm tree patterns) and a graphic print top that says ”Do Not Disturb, Busy Conquering the World” from Dynamite.
I finally got around to grabbing Mindy Kaling’s book ”Is Everybody Hanging out without Me? and Other Concerns” from Chapters. I can’t believe I never got around to purchasing this book since I’m a huge Mindy fan.
Now I’m off to do some light reading
Hope you enjoyed my haul(t). I had a great time putting it together.
